About

Suzanne Beaufoy

I began my counselling journey as a therapist in 2000 where I achieved the academic foundations of the profession. In 2002 I joined the National Probation Service and thereafter qualified as a Probation Officer. Over the 16 years in the Service, I developed a therapeutic approach to my role specialising in working with sexual offenders.

In 2018 I joined the Lucy Faithful Foundation as a Therapeutic Practitioner. In the six years I was in post, I conducted clinical risk assessments and successfully delivered therapeutic intervention to a variety of adults and young people where sex and porn addiction largely featured in their offending behaviour. Privately funded, I cemented my counselling experience with formal training and achieved fully qualified status both in generic psychotherapeutic counselling, and in sex addiction and compulsivity counselling.

Whilst I have worked in placements, I have been seeing clients privately since 2020. I have experience of the public, private, charitable sectors and more recent experience in safeguarding within the faith sector. I am registered with ATSAC, and I have Accredited membership with NCPS. I also work with StopSo as a specialised counsellor.
