Services

Traditional open-ended therapy

Whether you struggle with emotional regulation, relationship difficulties, bereavement and loss, self-destructive and self-defeating behaviours, adverse childhood experiences, poor attachments, trauma, sexual compulsivity, sex addiction or porn addiction, I use an integrated

approach to therapy which means using different modalities in order to enable you to reach your therapeutic goals.

At the core of my practice is a person-centred approach so to empower you to explore your emotions and behaviours in your own time and way, ensuring that therapy is always guided by your goals and needs. However using psychodynamic methods, we can delve deeper into unconscious patterns and early life experiences that influence present-day thoughts and behaviours. This reflective process aims to enhance self-awareness and foster meaningful, lasting change. A Cognitive Behavioural approach can help in identifying and challenging unhelpful thought patterns and behaviours, empowering you to develop healthier coping strategies and achieve lasting change.

By combining all three modalities, therapy can be both reflective and goal-oriented, tailored to your unique needs and aspirations.

In traditional open-ended therapy, there are regular reviews but the frequency and regularity is set by you. Session are for 50 minutes and start from £50.

Structured therapeutic intervention - Compassion Focused Risk Aware (COFRA): one-to-one therapy programme for managing sexual risk

COFRA 121 is a 16 week, one-to-one therapeutic risk awareness programme for individuals who may have, or be at risk of sexual harm. This structured therapeutic psychoeducational intervention can help you learn about how and why people get to that point of posing a sexual risk, and supports you to make connections with your own patterns and cycles of behaviour. This intervention also supports you to develop strategies to manage yourself in times of crisis, and enables you to identify and bridge the gaps between old you and the new.

The cost for this therapy starts from £75 per 90 minute session.

Single Session Therapy (SST)

If you have a single specific issue which you believe you would benefit from addressing, SST could be a possibility. You would share information about the nominated concern with the counsellor in advance. The SST session is then offered usually using a Cognitive behavioural approach, with the intention of helping the client in one session, but the client is aware that further sessions are available if they feel they need. These SST sessions are 1 hour at £60 per hour
